Abstract

Some productive aspects of a group of Anglo-nubian goats raised under semi-intensive conditions were analysed. The kids birth weight was 3.33 + 0.01 kg. The birth weight was significant influenced (P<0.01) by parturition order, birth type (single or multiple), kids sex and the interation of parturition order x birth type. The mortality until 90 days of age was 9.55%. The birth weight, birth type and the interation of kids age x birth type was significant influenced (P<0.01) on kids mortality. There was a positive association between birth weight and survival percentual, and a negative association between prolificacy index and kids survival.
