Abstract

It was used seven colonies of Apis mellifera (Africanized honey bees) from Botucatu region (SP), for the study on the sort of food collected by worker bees during the day. It was observed that among the worker bees in external activity, 46.51% had collected nectar, 15.30% pollen, 8.56% pollen and nectar and 29.63% were not collecting, and that meteorological factors had no influence on the sort of collected food.
