Abstract

In an Ultisol, in the Instituto de Zootecnia, SP, an experiment was conducted in split plot design, with three replications, to measure dry matter, yield and the recycling of nutrients of three varieties and four corn cultivars, harvested and two height cuts (15 and 50 cm above ground). The potassium percentage in the base of the stern (50 cm) was higher than that was in the whole plant. The high cut (50 cm) can return to the soil the equivalent of 87 kg/ha to potassium chloride.
