Abstract

The present work was conducted from 1979 to 1984, at the Posto Experimental de Limeira, of the Instituto de Zootecnia, State of São Paulo, Brazil. The principal objective was to evaluate the green leaves production and the other important characteristics of 9 natural hybrids, 19 artificial hybrids and 4 varieties of mulberry tree. The experimental design was a randomized block, with 8 replications and 3 mulberry trees per plot. During 4 years, it was concluded that the hybrids IZ.56/4 and lZ.13/6 showed a tendency to a high production of green leaves.
