Abstract

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of sawdust as a source of fiber in the nutrition of growing and finishing rabbits, involving 320 weaning animals 53 days old. The levels of inclusion of sawdust in the diet were: 0, 4, 6, 8 and 10 percent. The levels of protein, digestible energy and fiber were kept constant for all experimental diets. The treatments did not affect body weight 9am, feed consumption, feed conversion or rate of mortality.
