Abstract

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the ruminal degradability of DM, CP and NDF of Corn gluten feed (CGF) and Coast cross-hay (CCH), in nylon bags, varying proportions of CCF and CCH in the diets: A= 0% CGF and 100% CCH; B= 33% CGF and 67% CCH; C= 67% CGF and 33% CCH; D= 100% CGF and 0% CCH. The animals utilized were four steers cannulated in the rumen, and the experimental design was a 4X4 latin square. The effective degradability of DM and NDF of CGF; DM, NDF and CP of CCH decrease with increasing proportions of CGF in the diet.
