Abstract

One hundred and sixty-eight piglets were used in a experiment to evaluate 4 diets given from weaning at 3 weeks of age until animals reached a live weight of 25 kg. The control diet (3) contained in each kg 225 g crude protein (CP), 17 g of lysine, 629 of addeb soya oil, and 4.230 kcal/kg of digestible energy (DR). After 25 kg live weight all pigs were transfered to a growing pen measuring 3,5 x 2,4 m, where they receíved some diet until slaughter weight. Daily gains were 769, 796, 759 and 816 g from change over to slaughter and 686, 683, 711 and 678 from 25 days old to slaughter for 1, 2, 3 and 4 diets respectively. None of results for carcass measurements showed significance statistically.
