Abstract

Gestation length of the Anglo-nubian goats raised under semi-intensive conditions were analysed. The average gestation length was 148.23 ± 3.943 days, with a variation coefficient of 2.66%. The gestation length varied from 136 to 160 days, with a higher concentration (60.4%) between 146 and 150 days. The gestation length was influenced by order and parturition type. There was an inverse relationship between the number of newborns and the gestation length.
