Abstract

From May, 1979 to July, 1980, at Estação Experimental de Zootecnia de Ribeirão Preto, SP, eighteen cows Red Friesian and Gir breed were used in experiment, with anthelmintic and breed as plots, and as subplots the samples obtained in 3 periods. The treatments were: C = control, no anthelrnintic application; B = bimestrial, anthelmintic applications each 2 months beginning in May/79 and Q = quadrimestrial, anthehmintic applications each 4 months, beginning in July/1979. It was used Levamisole 7.5% by subcutaneous via. Statistical diferences (P < 0.05) were obtained by milk production in the phases and by breeds in the haemogrames. The effect of anthelmintic application in cows were different from the one in young animals into the same experimental period.
