Abstract

Ramirez grass (Paspalum guenoanim Areck.) is originated from Argentina or probably from Paraguay and so, it is a forage plant well adapted to wide ranges of temperatures, being frost and drough resistant. Its use is assuming some interest by researchers, mainly for tropical and subtropical areas. The aim of this work was to distinguish by morphological characteristics, three assections introduced in Nova Odessa, São Paulo. The results showed significative differences between lengh of the inflorescence for all the cultivars. For the inter-nodal distances the cultivar NO-844 was different from the two others (NO-94 and NO-586).
