Abstract

The trial was carried out at the Setor de Sericicultura, Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias, Campus de Jaboticabal, UNESP, in the 2005 year, with the purpose of evaluate cultivars influence (Miura cariety and the FM Shima-Miura hybrid) under different feeding managements (not wet leaves, covered leaves and wet leaves). The experimental desing was completely randomized, with the treatments in the factorial scheme (2x3) and five repetitions. The Miura variety overcome the FM Shima-Miura hybrid in the cocoons average weigth and the silk liquid meaning of the treat and the wet leaves supply in both cultivars overcome the not wet supply, but there was no influence in the silk meaning. In conclusion, the farmer can achieve bigger profits with the adoption of better cultivars and the adequate form of leaves suplly in feeding management.
