Abstract

This experiment was carried out at the Instituto de Zootecnia. Nova Odessa, SP, in a greenhouse studying the addition of 0, 25, 50. 75, 100, 200, and 400 kg of P2051ha in an Haplortox soil from Andradina, SP and in a Typic Paleudult soil from Nova Odessa, SP, in a complete randomized block design with four replications. Critical phosphorus percentages in guineagrass was determined using youngest expanded leaves that showed to be the most appi-opriate part on that grass for diagnosis purposes. Critical phosphorus percentages in that part of the plant varied from 0.22 to 0.27% P for the first harvest and from 0.17 to 0.19% P for the second harvest for the Haplortox soil and from 0.16 to 0.18% P for the first harvestand from 0.16 to 0.19%P for the second harvest for the Typic Paleudult soil.
